Today, Curve Studios announced that Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut will be released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on September 25th for Europeans. North American gamers will have to wait a couple of weeks to take part in the pleasures of Lone Survivor on PS3. The release will be accompanied with new content, updated graphics and feature Sony’s popular Cross-Buy functionality.
Jasper Byrne, creator of Lone Survivor, had this to say about the games impending release on Sony consoles:
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to release one of my games on a console, and it’s been amazing to watch it coming together in the last few months. Lone Survivor on the PlayStation has gone from a simple port to nearly a completely new game that I’m very proud of.”
Jason Perkins, the Managing Director at Curve Digital, also added his thoughts on the console release:
“Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut isn’t simply a console port but a completely reworked version of Jasper’s original game. It’s been very interesting watch the game grow in all sorts of ways since we started working with Jasper, and when it comes to new content this game has been our biggest project yet.”
Lone Survivor is a popular, critically acclaimed, Indie survival horror title that was previously released on PC.
